Do you know that there are certain linkers in the OET writing that one should avoid?
These are the connectors commonly used in the IELTS, PTE, or any other similar English Proficiency Test. However, one should avoid these linkers when writing a TRANSFER, DISCHARGE, or REFERRAL letter. These words are considered to be less formal in healthcare communication scenarios and are deemed to be ambiguous. Since the Occupational English Test is a formal standardized test specifically designed for healthcare professionals in a formal setting it is always advisable to use cohesive words that are more formal.
