Last month, I shifted from India to Canada with my family as permanent residents and am currently residing near the community centre. We are three members in my family and are completely new to this place. Last Sunday, I visited the community center and found it an intriguing place to socialise.
The reason for writing this letter is to understand the various cultural and engagement activities in the community hall so that I can get enrolled in them according to my liking or interest. I would like to know about the special induction program designed for newcomers and the poster at the library highlighting free programs offered by the government about finding a family doctor or getting a free pass to a museum or places of historic value, which eventually will help us in settling down and getting to know this place in a better way.
Most people living here speak French. I would like to request that you initiate a program to teach basic communication in the French language. This will make visiting a local store and shopping more convenient.
